Dear Kim,
Thanks for the help and phone support you offered for my DIY installation in Melbourne. It did take quite a while for my research to find that the Solectair system was the best value for
money system available and I considered the Solar Venti and various other products.
My home in Melbourne did not meet your “ideal” design of being brick and roof space was only
half as an extension was done with a flat roof (unable to be captured by the solectair).
The building also had exposed (old) floor boards with lots of gaps, and no insulation to speak of in the walls, probably not helping much.
All of these downsides I considered carefully but decided to give it a shot as my gas bill for winter was still more than I would have liked.
The result was outstanding—better in fact than you said it would be, in the dead of winter 2months or so it was too cold for it to work at all but at all other times it enabled us to not run the ducted heating at all to maintain a comfortable 18-19 degrees in the house.

After seeing your product on the ABC’s New Inventors program we decided to purchase it. Ours was the first home in Canberra to have the Solectair ducted heating system installed some years ago and I thought you may be interested in some feedback.
We have been extremely impressed with the system. It provides a great heating alternative to our ducted gas heating during the periods prior to and following our quite severe winter temperatures.
I would recommend this system to anyone who lives in a climate similar to ours.
Kind regards

The Solectair UNO Add-On Kit for Ducted Reverse Cycle Airconditioners
is well thought out and very well made. Installation was reasonably
straightforward thanks to the excellent installation notes and Kim’s
clear explanations and support. Though installed in winter I have been
amazed at the length of time the unit runs for when the sun starts shining
and sends the warm air to the outlets in the colder side of the house.

Dear Kim,
As the inventor of the Solectair heating system we thought you would
like some feed back from the end users, we built a new home in Wattle
Grove and installed an evaporative cooling system and the suppliers
suggested that Solectair active solar heating could be incorporated
in our cooling system.
Having lived in Canberra for sixteen years we were well aware of the
benefits of Passive solar designed homes, construction of our new home
incorporates a number of passive solar features and with the Solectair
active solar unit installed in the cooling system the benefits certainly
shone through last winter.
Our previous homes were heated by gas from a bayonet point which was
effective at the time we still have the gas heating unit and last winter
would have only needed it two or three times on the coldest nights as
our new cooling / heating unit did the job by heating the home during
the day with the thermal mass retaining the heat and releasing it slowly
after sundown considerably lowering our heating costs also all the passive
heat is distributed through out the home through the Solectair unit.
We would certainly recommend the system as we are very happy with the
outcome for our home.

Hi David,
It's been 18 months since I moved into my new home with Solectair. As
heating options was my main concern and knowing the importance to go
green
for the environment, Solectair has been a very pleasing and rewarding
system in reducing energy bills and providing a clean and comfortable
heating/cooling system.
I especially love the nightair function and welcome the concept of
being able to circulate fresh air from outside through out my home on
those very hot night's.
With an all over seasonal performance which is very effective for my
style of living.
Thank you David for your professional and caring attitude in
providing a wonderful service and system that is very environmentally
friendly.

I've just finished installing a Solectair system into our evaporative
cooling and it's terrific
